The Fethiye Market – Greek Village – Ölüdeniz Tour combines culture, history and fun in one day. If you want to get to know more about the culture and local people then you should join this tour. We will pick you up at 9 AM. from your accommodation and drive approx. 1 hour to Fethiye. Our first stop will be at the biggest organic market of the region. Over here you will have a 2 hour break to explore the market with its fresh fruits and vegetable, handmade local products and a huge choice of clothes, bags and more. Also you have the chance to taste some of the local snacks and get an idea of the Turkish cuisine.
After that 2 hours break we will head on to the 30 min. away situated Greek Ghost village, which is an UNESCO heritage and named Kayaköy. Kayaköy looks back on 5000 years of history. During the Roman Empire it had a population of 25.000 people. This open air museum shows now the architecture and life style of that time. You can find there around 500 houses which been build in a interesting way that no one of them is disturbing another one. After the village been left by the Greeks, the village stayed empty and the houses been damaged by earthquake and weather conditions so only ruins are left.
After exploring Kayaköy we will have a delicious lunch and then go on to Ölüdeniz.
After another 20 min. drive we will reach Ölüdeniz announce as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Over here you will have time to swim and enjoy the beach. You will see a lot of paragliders flying down from the Babadag Mountain and landing on the beach. After a relaxing break on the beach we will starts our way back to Dalyan and a day full of culture, history and many new impressions come to the end.
